Sining Tahanan 2024

Sining Tahanan 2024 - A Contemporary Ceramic Art Exhibition featuring the works of Master Potters, Tahanan Teachers, and Tahanan’s Emerging Artists. Sining Tahanan is organized each year to promote, nurture, and elevate the practice of the growing community of potters and ceramic enthusiasts in the Philippines.

Just as clay is shaped by the hands of the artist, our bodies are shaped by the forces of life — through growth, regeneration, and repair. Cells divide, communicate, and heal in much the same way that clay responds to touch, fire, and glaze, forming intricate, resilient structures that balance fragility and strength. This parallel between ceramics and the cellular makeup of the body emphasizes both the beauty and the vulnerability of life, captured in the natural materials of the earth.

‘How We’re Built’ reimagines the human body as a landscape of creation, where art and human cells intertwine to form the vessels of life itself.
